Avidemux   Avidemux is a free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. It supports many file types, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4 and ASF, using a variety of codecs. Tasks can be automated using projects, job queue and powerful scripting capabilities. See the Avidemux homepage for this great project. Below you will find application bundles for MacOSX. I have had help from Mean and Gruntster. You will find Gruntsters page with Windows builds here. The binaries presented here are in the MAC .dmg (compressed) disk image format. Once downloaded you can double-click the disk-image and it will open. You can drag the avidemux2_qt4.app anywhere you like but the Applications folder is normally the most appropriate one. 01 December 2009 Dear Mac users: As of today my builds are no longer hosted from my own webserver but from  Avidemux.org. I will still maintain this webpage as it also gives some additional information. In practice this means that your download will now take 0.5-1 minutes to complete. Note: If you want the latest (development) builds, check the SVN builds below. If you want the latest stable build, download the 2.5.3 build from SourceForge. Note: When you download a bundle you will also be asked on the download page to register your hardware/OSX data. Please do that for every download. This is off course on a 100% voluntary basis. To check later on directly on the statististics use this link instead of downloading again which will ruin the statistics. Note also that avidemux only works on 10.5 and 10.6. Possibly only runs on Snow Leopard. 2.6.0 (6448) Intel 10 Jul 2010 avidemux3 Intel only. This one runs from my own website. The 2.6.0 builds run on Snow Leopard only. They don't run on Leopard and Tiger anymore.
